Grand Rank Appointments and Promotions

24 April, 2019

Grand Rank Appointments and Promotion.

At the annual investiture meetings of Grand Lodge and Grand Chapter  in the magnificent Temple in Great Queen Street, London, last month, three brethren of the Province were honoured.

As a result of his appointments as Deputy Provincial Grand Master and Deputy Grand Superintendent on 15th  September last year, Phil Falla, who, until that date had been our Provincial Grand Director of Ceremonies, was promoted within the Craft to Past Grand Sword Bearer and the following  day received the same rank as a first Grand Rank appointment within the Royal Arch.

Mark Laine, Provincial Grand Secretary, was appointed a Grand Officer in Craft with the rank of Past Assistant Grand Director of Ceremonies.

Chris Plant, Provincial Grand Treasurer in the Royal Arch, was appointed a Grand Chapter Officer with the rank of Past Grand Standard Bearer.

The photographs taken “in the Corridors of Power” after the investitures show the happy recipients of these well deserved honours, accompanied by Provincial Grand Master and Grand Superintendent, Keith Read, who said:

“It was a huge pleasure and privilege to be present at the Investiture ceremonies at Grand Lodge to witness the promotions and first appointments to Grand Rank in the Craft and Holy Royal Arch for Brethren from this Province.

My sincere congratulations go to all three on receiving these very well deserved accolades.  Grand Ranks are bestowed rarely and only to those who have given significant contributions to Freemasonry”.
