At the Consecration Meeting there were one hundred and five founder members and seventeen guests present. The Lodge was sponsored by Victor Carey Lodge No. 6892. It is only recently, in 2018, that the last of the founder members passed to the Grand Lodge above.

The first Master of the Lodge was W. Bro. A.J. (Alf) Down, a Past Master of Lodge Fidelis 1809.

The Lodge was founded to advance the Masonic knowledge of those who have passed through the Worshipful Masters chair. This is achieved by inviting guest speakers, usually from off the Island.

The Lodge is the youngest and largest Lodge in  the Province with approximately one hundred members.

Membership of the Lodge is open to Past Masters of any Lodge within, or outside of the Province providing their own Lodge is recognised by UGLE. Unattached Past Masters are also permitted to join. Visiting is permitted by Past Masters and Master Masons, as guests of members.

Mastership of the Lodge is allocated on a rotational basis according to a list drawn up by the founders. The offices in the Lodge are allocated to a Lodge, not a single brother, a brother represents his Lodge in that office for one year.
